About Us

KVS Productions, has, for more than a decade, been a leading player in providing top-quality motorsports programmes for broadcasting.

The company was the brainchild of Kenny Kay, an ex Motocross racer, with a background in the entertainment industry.

Kenny grew up in the golden era of his chosen sport, when Murray Walker regularly brightened up Saturday afternoons on the BBC with his superlative commentaries on the high-flying, elbow-to-elbow, mud-splattered Motocross action.

Eventually, TV coverage moved away to more sedentary pursuits, like snooker and darts, but Kenny kept the faith with the raw excitement of two-wheeled sport. Hiring his own camera, he learned his trade, and produced footage of the 1996 British Motocross Championship, which formed the basis of a show that was to become a long-term fixture on Sky Sports.

After four years of involvement in everything from production to commentary, he was ready to launch KVSP (Kay Visual Sports Production), bringing specialist expertise to inject a unique insider’s eye on the action.

The company, in conjunction with the MotoGP rights-holder, Dorna, worked on the TV production of the FIM World Motocross Championship for many years, as well as coverage of the World Snow Mobile Championship.

Regular highlights of the FIM World Superside Championship were produced for Motors TV, beginning a long-standing, ongoing relationship between KVSP and the specialist motorsports broadcast channel.

Sky TV continued to carry KVSP’s coverage of the British Motorcross Championship, encouraging the company to move to another level, by producing its own programme, BikesportUK. This featured superb footage of the Powerbike Tour, Sidecar Speedway, Supercross, Grass Track Racing, and much more besides – if it had two wheels and raced, it was in, and it was on Sky Sports!

KVSP also came to the attention of Channel Four, who commissioned the company to produce highlights of the FIM World Motocross Championship, and the Maxxis British Motocross Series, for their terrestrial channel.

Working with broadcast partners Sky Sports, MotorsTV (both UK and Pan Euro Feed). Eurosport UK and International, Channel Four, and Men and Motors, KVSP have honed their skills in developing two-wheeled sports for the screen.

They have expanded their product to include coverage of Karting, Stock Car Racing, Drag Racing, and Hill Climbs.

They are the exclusive providers of programming for the Thundersport GB Championships, The BMCRC MRO and Club Championships, the Triumph Triple Challenge, an the Eastern Airways UK F1 Sidecars.

KVSP’s Non-Linear and Linear Studios are an all-inclusive facility which operates to the highest standards of broadcast production, and are served by Producers, Editors, Commentators, and Camera staff, with many years of experience in covering everything from F1 and MotoGP, to the very best of Club racing.

All-important distribution is just part of the service that KVSP offers, with links to the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, and the Far East.

If you need more information, or help with your broadcasting plans, we would be very happy to come and discuss options with you.

Kenny Kay.
